Our Counter Top

It's almost done!!  I just couldn't resist posting it though!  We need to paint/stain the trim, and then, wha-la; our very first homemade counter top will be complete. :)

Notice I painted the dining room.  The red has been bothering me since I painted the kitchen brown.  Well, I ended up painting the downstairs bathroom red, so I have my red fix taken care of; leaving me the liberty to paint the kitchen a different lighter color.  And, my does it look bigger!

Books of the NT Song

Do you remember the New Testament Books of the Bible song from the good ol' days in Sunday School?  Well, in an effort to help my kids learn the New Testament Books for Wild on Wednesday nights, I have been singing it to them for the last two weeks.  They picked up on it very quickly.  [At the end, there is a little disappointment by one child that they didn't sing the "One! Two! Three!" part that we made up in front of the part "...Johns, Jude and Revelation."]  So, here the Cook kids are preforming the New Testament Books:

Everything Mario Sleep Over Party

This past weekend, my boys had their first ever sleep-over with their pals.  They had such a good time together.  I think the night and next morning could be best described as being a Mario Party, because that's all they seemed to want to do.

I believe this was the quietest part of my evening.  The boys very attentively watched "The Super Mario Show".

So what else is there to do the next day after spending the previous evening watching Mario Brothers??  Well, I'll tell you...Playing 'Super Mario Galaxy 2' on the Wii!!
