A year ago today, Matt would have his last conversation with his dad

A year ago today, Matt would visit his friends for his final visit

A year ago today, Matt would get groceries for me for the last time

A year ago today, Matt would make his last promise to me

A year ago today, Matt would trim his beloved burly beard, just for me

A year ago today, Matt would receive his last foot rub from Gavin

A year ago tonight, we would lie next to each other in bed for the last time

For a year ago tomorrow, 

he would drink his last coffee,

tinker in the garage for the last time,

fulfill his last promise to me,

play his last video game,

ask me for help,

watch his last tv show,

kiss me on the forehead,

tell me how much he loved me,

praise me for being an awesome wife,

For a year ago tomorrow, he would breathe his last breath

For a year ago tomorrow, he would meet his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ

For a year ago tomorrow, our lives would change forever.
