Geocaching

Geocaching (treasure hunting) is something that we discovered right before we left Rochester.  After we moved, we kind of forgot about it (or rather, we just didn't take the time to do it) and the fun family activity just kinda sat on the back-burner of life.  Luckily, we moved by some friends who love to geocache and when we get together, that's what we do.  For New Years we went to spend time with our geocaching friends in Georgia and searched for many geocaches.  There was one in particular that we had looked for the previous time we visited and couldn't find it to save our lives.  So when we visited this time around, we were bound and determined to find it.  After much searching (I'm talking at least an hour) It was finally found!!  It was like Christmas all over again.  This geocache has haunted me since April.  So it was with great joy that I pointed to my first ever geocache find. =)
This picture was deleted from my camera somehow, so when we retrieved it off of my SD card using our software program, this was all that came up.  Imagine me with a huge grin on my face. =)

Later on that day, G found his first ever geocache.  He was so excited.  He traded in his 'seasoned' penny for a brand new shiny 2011 penny.
Absolutely thrilled to find his first geocache

We went on many other treasure hunts and had a blast.  It's a fun family activity.
