Courtney's Soccer Practice

This is Courtney's first year playing a sport.
We told Courtney if she could make it through the week long Soccer Camp earlier this year,
We would sign her up for a soccer team in the Fall.
Well, she held up her end of the bargain,
So we held up ours.

This Fall, she is playing for the Pelham Y Heat (4th & 5th grade).
Today was her first practice.
And like every other mom whose child was playing for the first time,
I had my camera out and taking pictures like a crazy woman.

She has practice on Mondays & Thursdays (Aug-Oct).
And games are on Saturdays (Sept-Oct).
It's gonna be a fun season!!

I took this right before we left the house.  She told me she had butterflies in her stomach she was so nervous.

Coach explaining to the kids what they'd be learning.

That's my girl!

Seeing who can kick the ball the farthest.

Going in to make a goal

Their coach is awesome.  He is so kind and encouraging.  Court really likes him.

The ball was kicked to Court.  She's trying to stop it here and head toward the goal.

And it was a success! :)

Kicking the ball to her coach.

The boys were bored out of their minds, so after going around playing with all the litter they could possibly muster up, they built this little stone house.

It was mostly Gavin's creation.  This 'relaxed' pose just cracks me up.
