Let It Snow!

With the impending snow warnings constantly talked about on the TV,

I couldn't stop singing in my head,

"Let it snow!  Let it snow!  Let it snow!"

Although in reality I was hoping,

Let me be at the beach!  Let me be at the beach!  Let me be at the beach!"

I got snow.

The kids were thrilled when they heard the local weatherman announce that snow was in the forecast for central Alabama.

They kept on asking me,

"Is it snowing yet?"

It wasn't.

For the last week it had been raining day in and day out.

Surprisingly enough, I was kind of looking forward to the snow.

[WHAT?!?!  Yeah, I was shocked too.]

Seven straight days of rain was getting real old.

It was time for a change in weather.

(Although, ideally I would have opted for 85 and sunny.  And at Orange Beach - if I was picking.)

Snow is in the air, just not accumulating.  Major disappointment for these three.

Wait a minute!  It is snowing harder now.  Hurry look out the window!

Snow!  Snow!  Snow!  Can we go outside?  Well yes, if you're into that kind of thing. ;)

It hasn't accumulated here since Dec 26, 2011

C'mon!  C'mon!  Let's go outside!!

This is great fun!  Can we come in now?

Oh the joys of stripping down in the foyer and throwing very wet coats, hats, gloves, pants and shoes in the dryer.  Thump Thump, Thump Thump, Thump Thump

Enjoy it kids!  The next time you'll see this is if we go back up north to visit before June.  Otherwise, you'll need to wait until next year. =)
