Always My Baby - Year 8

Well folks, my youngest just turned 8.
Eight.
How can that be?
I still treat him like my baby though.
(sorry future wife)
:P

So without further adieu,
here is his day.

He picked Strawberry cake

Licking the beater - a favorite of the cake making process

And he chose a froggy cake.  The eyes are a little crazy. haha!

Donut Joes is closed on Sunday, so he opted for Dunkin Donuts.  Daddy and he are just about to head out and get some.

Yum! Great choices!!

Presents from his sister - a Mario poster, and a Mario "Whack A Bowser" game that she made.

His brother gave him his Super Mario Bros DS game.
His other brother gave him a DS game too - Frogger.

The benefit of having your bday so close to Christmas - you get gifts from the Black Friday deals, which means more gifts, but same amount spent per sibling. :)

Mario figurines

Walkie Talkies

Another Mario set

And yet another one

A monstrous size box of Legos

A Razor Spark 360 Rider

Hexbugs!!!!

He wanted to make sure I captured his hexbug, named "Hexy", as he was going around the loop.

A quick cuddle with my little man - He was eager to get playing again, so that didn't last long. :)

He was very pleased with his cake.  (That's a good thing, because I'm not a very good cake-maker.)

Ice cream choice: Birthday Cake Icecream in a cone

And later, some friends came by and game him some neat gifts.  He was VERY excited to get another hexbug for Hexy to play with.  He named this one Geo.  He loves his Techdeck, gum, hexbug batteries and tic tacs too. :)
He had a great day!

He chose:
Dunkin Donuts for breakfast
Spaghettios with Meatballs for lunch
Meatloaf, Cheesy Potatoes, and Green Bean Casserole for dinner

At church, he was able to move up in class for Sunday School and Churchtime.
(and on Wed night to Patch Club)
He was super excited about that, and especially to be able to do it on his actual birthday. :)

He kept on telling me that it was his best birthday ever,
even though, besides church, we stayed at home all day.
(previous years, we spent all day going from activity to activity)

We love this little guy so much.
His sweet, kind spirit is such a blessing to us.
We are so thankful to God for him.
