October Fun

Matt cuddling with his buddy on a Saturday afternoon . . . Watching an SEC game so he can have a conversation with the guys at work ;)

Watching an Auburn football game with my boys.  Who would have ever thought I'd be watching football!  Unheard of! =)

They won!  They won!

Is she facing the front or back?  Having some hair fun with my daughter. (front)

He lost his molar during school.

This was taken the night (and time) we were supposed to have a partial penumbral eclipse.  We didn't see it, but the whispy clouds around the moon gave it a cool look.

Nervous to have a biopsy done on her nose.  She did great! Me? I almost passed out.  Shouldn't have watched. lol

Post biopsy - Benign!  Yay!

She loves Ninjago.  Her favorite character is Jay (the Blue Ninja - shocker! ha!).  Her daddy helped her make a pair of Jay's nun-chucks.

This flower was just randomly growing in our back yard.
This is Garrett's puzzle (again, shocker!), but he needed help.  So his big bro came to the rescue.

It's done!  A very happy boy indeed!

They love to play board/card games.
It got cold enough to start a fire toward the end of October.

He loves to help do this.

Success!

I love fires, but they make me lazy.  I end up just staring at it for hours. :)
Our friends had a baby girl!  "Mario" was so excited to hold her.

She was thrilled too!  I love her expression here.

My baby holding a baby.  Sigh.
At our HomeGroups social - carving pumpkins.

He just liked gutting them and playing in the slime.

Another slime lover.

My very first attempt at making a pumpkin that didn't have two triangles for eyes, one for a nose and a gapped-tooth smile.  Oh boy!  I may have bitten off more than I can chew!

Daddy working on the other pumpkin.  His first attempt at something other than a jack-o-lantern face too.

His end result!

My end result!
For our church's Trunk or Treat, the kids need to have Bible themed costumes.  Here is Gav's.  The next pic explains it.

The 1st Plague of Egypt: The water turning to blood and the fish dying.

Bet you can't guess who this is!!  He was the 2nd plague (but for him, that would've been a wonderful miracle. haha!)

The 2nd Plague of Egypt: Frogs covering all the ground, houses, people . . . just plain ole frogs everywhere!!

She had a hard time finding her plague, but when she saw fire & hail, she was all over that.  (This girl loves volcanoes, I think it was the fire that sold her.)
The 7th Plague of Egypt: Hail with fire raining down on a stubborn country.

Garrett's class sang for Wed night church in costume.

My blood river and frog Trunk or Treating

Hail and Fire Trunk or Treating
Two things you may be asking yourself here:
1. Where's Kaidin?
2. Why are the kids carrying those huge Aldi bags to collect their candy?
Answers:
1. Kaidin came down with a nasty cold and was in bed sick all day. =(
2. I forgot to send their little bags with them, so Matt made do with what was in the trunk.

Okay, continuing with pictures.
Next up Halloween:
All ready to go!  Poor Kaidin, he was so bummed he was sick and couldn't go too.

Taking just one. =)

Posing for one of many pics

Waiting . . .

Luigi, Mario & Mario (with a crazed killer behind them)

Jay Ninjago & Sonic
